Combat effectiveness of a forward deployed combat unit considers the skillful execution of the battle plan when enemy engagement occurs at the high end of the conflict spectrum. The execution of the battle plan follows immediately after the activation of the entry protocol, which occurs upon entering the airborne battle space, such that the relationship between friendly and adversarial velocity and energy becomes mission critical.
